Five for Friday

Happy Friday!  I'm excited to have a nice long weekend.  Only one week of preschool left!  I will miss those little ones.   I'm linking up today's post here... http://doodlebugsteaching.blogspot.com/
Our school did teacher appreciation this week.  What nice surprises I received!  I especially loved the dinner that was provided.  I hope you will look at the alphabet projects I've been featuring this week.  I will be finishing the alphabet up tomorrow!

We made sunshines this week... each child told me what they like to do in the summer.  Mine said "I like to sit by the pool and knit!"

Don't you love the colors in these sewing cards?  I always loved these when I was a kid.  Is that a surprise?!

We've been doing lots of crayon rubbings at preschool this week.  Magic!

Preschoolers love beanbags... I finally replaced the vintage bean bag album that I had... it was all scratched up!  I found the cd version at Lakeshore.   I had to include my polka dot clogs in the picture... my favorites!

Preschool Alphabet project... A-H

I've been working on an alphabet book with my preschoolers since January.  With the help of pinterest and my imagination I have come up with a letter craft for every letter.  Today's letters are A-H.  Feel free to pin these!  Tomorrow I will feature I-P.

End of the year teacher gifts

Are you struggling to come up with creative end of the year gifts for your teacher?  Of course, a gift card is always appreciated, but here is a round up of ideas that I've shared on the blog.

Measuring cups with a cute note... "you always measure up!"

A school supply cake... I anchored everything around 3 stacking round paper mache boxes.

A 3 ring binder with cute paper inserted in the front... notes bulldog clipped on top!

Hand sanitizer with scrapbook paper added to the back so you can see it through the bottle.

A crayon wreath... just hot glue crayons to a wreath form... keep it out of the sun!

paper sack bird's nests

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend... I can hardly believe that May is almost over.  Next week is my last week of school!  I will be starting kid's crafts on Fox 9 Monday June 3rd.
Last week we made paper sack bird's nests.  Start by cutting off a couple inches off the top of a paper lunch sack.  Fold the top over a couple times and squish it down to make a nest shape.

We glued in brown and cream paper crinkles for the sticks.  To make the birds we glued 2 pompoms together and added feathers for the tails.

We finished them up by adding googly eyes and beaks.

They looked very  cute on our mother's day bulletin board!

More birds!  Have a crafty day!

Five for Friday

Happy Friday!   I can't believe May is half over... only 2 weeks left of school.  I'm excited to have a little time off.  I will be staying very busy with my 3 daughters.  I will also be appearing almost every  Monday morning on Fox 9 this summer.  I will be sharing summer craft ideas... fun crafts to keep your kids busy!
I've been knitting dishcloths lately.  I give them away as soon as I knit them up!

I just love these READ letters.  I made them for Izzy's teacher... I may have to make some for my classroom too!

We've been doing lots of fun froggy activities this week...

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
